The Company’s claim settlement procedure is simple and devoid of unnecessary bureaucracy. Motor claims, for example, are registered and adjusted in all LEADWAY branch offices, nationwide; while settlement within specified limits are done from these branches. Amounts outside the specified limits are done either from our Corporate Office in Lagos or Registered Office in Kaduna. For other policies that might require the appointment of loss adjusters, claims may be registered at any branch office and appointment of loss adjuster will depend on complexity and location of the loss. Under an arrangement with two of our principal bankers [Citibank & Guaranty Trust Bank], we are able to use an On-line banking and fund transfer service to deliver ‘claim’ cheques to local branches within 12 hours of receiving the appropriate discharge voucher.
