JOB OBJECTIVE 

The holder will be a fixed income thought leader with a quantitative approach to fixed income analysis as well as macroeconomic research. The individual will provide expert support to Portfolio Managers and Client Advisors by providing insight across different fixed income sub classes.

PRIMARY FUNCTIONS 
 

1. Building and maintaining variety of Fixed Income models to derive absolute and relative valuations.  Use of Technical analysis to identify momentum in markets.  
2. Credit analysis experience using Financial Statement Analysis and Modeling – working knowledge of income statement, balance sheet and cash flow statement are essential. The holder will be responsible for collecting market data & trend-spotting on various classes of fixed income instruments,  
3. A deep understanding of capital structure and implications for security issuance. Monitor and analyze factors affecting external sovereign bond movements, including economic, financial, political and technical developments 
4. Communicate investment ideas and themes that meet investment objectives in periodic research notes with the aim of supporting investment decision-making by both internal and external clientele 
5. Carry out company visits, management meetings and other field work necessary to gather information and build robust library of company financial spreadsheets. Modeling sophisticated financial instruments to determine value and Completing complex analytical projects
6. Support Associated Companies: Develop customized marketing documents, and research for the purpose of sales pitches to prospective institutional clients. The Position Holder is also expected to actively participate in firmwide initiatives.
7. Product Development: Contribute to the creation, or modification the company’s product offerings with the objective of providing new or additional benefits to customers, as well as enhancing the company’s competitiveness and market dominance.

• A Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative subject with Second class upper 
• A professional qualification of CFA or a masters degree in a related finance course would be beneficial 
• Ability to articulate an opinion and present ideas in a concise manner both orally and in written formAbility to multi-task in a highly visible fast-paced and team-oriented environment  
• Excellent knowledge of Bloomberg, FactSet or any data analytics suit.   
• MS skills and exposure to investment software 

• Minimum of 4 years in investment research 

• Strong analytical and problem solving skills. 
• Ability to deal with ambiguity, tight timelines, multiple priorities, and demanding customers, in a fast-moving, constantly changing environment. 
• High degree of professionalism, maturity and confidentiality.
