Ms. Adetola Adegbayi
Executive Director, Technical Services
Ms. Adetola Adegbayi is a Legal Practitioner with extensive experience in legal research, corporate legal practice, insurance and financial services. She holds a Bachelor of Laws Degree of the University of South Wales and a Master of Laws Degree of the University of Bristol, England, graduating with distinction in Jurisprudence.
She is also an Associate of the Chartered Insurance Institute, London, Associate, Chartered Insurance Institute of Nigeria and the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, UK. She holds an Advanced Management Certificate of the Harvard Business School, Boston Massachusetts.
Mr. Tunde Hassan-Odukale
Managing Director/CEO
Mr. Tunde Hassan-Odukale is a graduate of the University of London and City University, London. He holds a Bachelor Degree in Pure Mathematics and a Postgraduate Diploma in Actuarial Science.
He is on the board of directors of various blue-chip companies, which includes First Bank of Nigeria Limited and Digital Jewels Limited.
Mr. Tunde Hassan-Odukale has a strong bias for Information Technology and is the head of our Strategic IT planning committee.
Mrs Yemisi Rotimi
Chief Financial Officer
Mrs Yemisi Rotimi is a qualified accountant with over 25 years’ experience as a senior Finance executive holding senior positions within world class organisations like Royal Mail Plc., Bank of Ireland and Lehman Brothers to name a few. Yemisi began her career in practice working with BDO before eventually moving into industry and Financial Services.
Her responsibilities covered all aspects of Finance from Planning/Budgeting to Regulatory Reporting, Risk, Financial Control, Treasury, Tax and Procurement. Mrs Rotimi holds a Master’s degree from the University of Greenwich, UK and is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN). She is also an Associate of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants, UK (CIMA) and Chartered Global Management Accountants (CGMA). She is currently studying for a Doctorate degree in Business Administration focusing on Risk Management with the London Southbank University
Mr. Gboyega Lesi
Managing Director
Mr. Gboyega Lesi studied Civil Engineering at the University of Lagos, Nigeria. His professional insurance career started over 25 years ago as a trainee risk surveyor. Since then he has gained experience in several aspects of risk management, insurance broking, underwriting, product development, Bancassurance and sales. Mr. Lesi has attended several courses over the years (locally and abroad) particularly in the areas of insurance underwriting, risk management, strategy, management, operations and marketing. Apart from a B.Sc. Degree in Civil Engineering, Mr. Lesi possesses an MBA from Aston University in Birmingham, UK. Mr. Lesi is also an Associate of the Chartered Insurance institute of London and Nigeria and a member of the Chartered Management Institute (MCMI) of London. Prior to his appointment as the Managing Director, Mr. Gboyega Lesi was the Executive Director, Commercial of the Company.
Mrs. Kunbi Adeoti
Divisional Director/Head, Human Resources & Admin
Mrs. Kunbi Adeoti holds a bachelor degree in Economics and MBA General Management both from Obafemi Awolowo University. She is a certified professional with the Human Resource Certification Institute (HRCI) and a Senior Certified Professional of the Society For Human Resource Management (SHRM).
Kunbi Adeoti is also a member of other local professional bodies like CIPM and NITAD. Her interests are in general Human Resources, organizational development, learning and effectiveness as well as change management. Prior to joining Leadway Assurance as Head, Human Resources Department (Divisional Director), she was a Principal Partner at Talent Centrix Consultancy. She believes in excellence and has demonstrated same in the course of her HR career spanning the Telecoms and Financial sectors.
Mr. Allan Olufade Suradj
Divisional Director/Regional Director
Mr. Allan Olufade Suradj is an alumnus of University of Ibadan, Oyo state where he obtained a Nigeria certificate in Education. He also has an advanced diploma in Marketing Management from Obafemi Awolowo University and a Masters of Arts (MA), International Studies and diplomacy at the Washington International University, Washington, USA. He started his career with Leadway Assurance over 28 years ago working as the Head, Underwriting at the Port-harcourt branch. He has since held several positions at different branches of the company gaining awards, commendations and recognition. Mr. Allan has attended several courses in areas ranging from Bond/Insurance to Financial management. He is a member of the Chartered Insurance Institute of Nigeria and a Fellow of the Institute of corporate Administration, Nigeria (FCAI). Presently, Mr. Allan is a divisional Director, Abuja/North Leadway Assurance.
Mr. Olumide Hanson
Company Secretary
Olumide Hanson is a Chartered Secretary & Chartered Governance Professional. He is a Legal Practitioner and holds a Bachelor of Laws Degree from the University of Lagos, Nigeria, and is a Barrister and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Nigeria. He is also a Member of the Nigerian Bar Association, the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, UK and Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators, UK.
Prior to his joining the company, he spent some years working in the Lagos office of Chief Afe Babalola Chambers and Bayo Osipitan & Co. where he garnered his litigation and commercial law experience.
He has worked meritoriously within the Legal and Company Secretariat department as Senior Legal Analyst and the Acting Company Secretary. He has a penchant for Corporate Governance, Company Secretariat, Legal Drafting, and Speechwriting.
Mr. Ernest Aziagba
Divisional Director/Actuary, General Business
Mr. Ernest Aziagba studied Economics and Statistics from University College, London with a MSC in Actuarial Science from City University Cass Business School, London. Mr. Ernest is a student member of the institute of Actuaries UK, Certificate Diploma in Actuarial Techniques from Institute of Actuaries, Certificate in Finance and Investment from the Institute of Actuaries UK. Prior to his employment, he had worked with HR Nigeria Consultant and Actuaries, Unum Limited and Alexander Forbes Consulting Actuaries of Nigeria.
Mr. Tunde Alao-Olaifa
Divisional Director/Head, Strategy & Special Projects
Mr. Tunde Alao-Olaifa holds a Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Ibadan and a MBA (Finance and Strategy) from the Lagos Business School. Before joining Leadway, he had previously worked with Lionstone Group as an Associate and Fidelity Bank Plc. as an Assistant Manager in the Corporate Banking division. His experience cuts across corporate finance and investment spectrum which includes capital raising deal structuring, acquisition planning, project financing, asset management & investment analysis. He currently heads the Strategy & Special Projects team at Leadway Assurance Co. Ltd.
Mr. Oluwafemi Adebayo
Divisional Director/Head, Life Sales
Mr. Oluwafemi Adebayo holds a Bachelor’s degree in Microbiology and a MBA (Management) both from University of Ilorin. He is an alumni of the Lagos Business school. Prior to joining Leadway, he had worked in Dangote Group as Area sales supervisor, IAL shipping Nig. Ltd as Business development coordinator, Standard Alliance as the Marketing Head & Silver Street Insurance Brokers as Marketing Manager. He currently leads the Life Sales team in Leadway Assurance Co. Ltd
Mr. Bamidele Lawal
Divisional Director/Chief Technical Officer
Mr. Bamidele Lawal holds a Higher National Diploma in Insurance from The Federal Polytechnic, Bida, Niger State and started his insurance career in the Underwriting Department of Leadway Assurance Company Limited in 1998.
Mr. Lawal has held several positions in the organization including the Reinsurance department and Retail Unit of Claims where he also doubled as the Head of Department. He has attended various courses on Reinsurance and Claims handling both locally and abroad. He is currently the Chief Technical Officer of the General Insurance division in Leadway Assurance Co. Ltd.
Mrs. Kikelomo Fischer
Divisional Director/Chief Risk Officer
Mrs. Kike Fischer is the Head of Enterprise Risk Management and she holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Economics and Finance from the University of Surrey in Guildford (UK). She is an experienced risk management professional with 11 years risk management experience in the Banking, Capital Markets and Insurance Sectors of the Financial Services Industry. Prior to joining Leadway she was at EY where she Led the Financial Services Risk Management Functions for West Africa. She also worked at the Financial Conduct Authority in the UK where she Led the Markets supervision team covering the supervision of exchange traded products.
Mr. Odalo Aimufia
Divisional Director/Chief Information Officer
Mr. Odalo Aimufia is the Chief Information Officer and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Geography and Regional Planning and an MBA (Finance and Accounting) from the Universities of Benin and Liverpool (UK) respectively. Odalo is a strategic IT leader with 16 years’ experience in delivering enterprise solutions and digital transformation initiatives within Banking and Non-Banking Financial Services organizations. He has a track record of helping businesses achieve their strategic objectives through the effective deployment and use of IT and digital technologies. Prior to joining Leadway Assurance, Odalo was at KPMG in Lagos, Nigeria, where he was a Senior Manager within the Technology Advisory Services function.
Mr. Sola Ajayi
Executive Director, Retail & SME
Mr. Olusola Ajayi joins Leadway Assurance Company Limited as Company Executive. He is an experienced business leader with over 15 years in senior positions in Management Consulting and Insurance in Nigeria and the United Kingdom. Prior to joining Leadway, Sola Ajayi worked with AIICO Plc where he functioned successfully in several capacities, spanning over 12 years, engineered the company to achieve huge growth in premiums and assets under management.
Mr. Ajayi had earlier been with Accenture (Lagos) in the Financial Services Market unit, and Deloittes Consulting (London, UK), as business consultant in both firms. His keen interest is in the area of leading and supporting business transformation, strategy, process optimization and technology deployment. Mr. Ajayi has a Global Executive MBA with focus on Strategy and Entrepreneurship from INSEAD.
Mrs. Funmilayo Omokhodion
Independent Non-Executive Director
Mrs. Funmilayo Omokhodion is a Chartered Insurer with the Chartered Insurance Institute of Nigeria (CIIN) and also with its UK counterpart institute. She holds a Masters of Business Administration (Executive MBA) majoring in Insurance and obtained a Certificate in Management from the Harvard Business School.
She is a graduate of the prestigious University of Ilorin, Nigeria where she bagged a degree in English/Linguistics before obtaining a Masters of Business Administration at Enugu State University of Technology, Enugu.
She commenced her professional career at African Reinsurance Corporation HQ, Lagos and rose through the ranks to the height of her career in 2017 as the Regional Director, West Africa Regional Office of the Company, leading a 27-member staff group covering Nigeria, Ghana, Sierra Leone, Liberia and the Gambia. She held this position meritoriously until her retirement in June, 2020.
