Gboyega Lesi
Managing director
Mr. Gboyega Lesi studied Civil Engineering at the University of Lagos, Nigeria. His professional insurance career started over 25 years ago as a trainee risk surveyor. Since then he has gained experience in several aspects of risk management, insurance broking, underwriting, product development, Bancassurance and sales. Mr. Lesi has attended several courses over the years (locally and abroad) particularly in the areas of insurance underwriting, risk management, strategy, management, operations and marketing.
Apart from a B.Sc. Degree in Civil Engineering, Mr. Lesi possesses an MBA from Aston University in Birmingham, UK. Mr. Lesi is also an Associate of the Chartered Insurance institute of London and Nigeria and a member of the Chartered Management Institute (MCMI) of London. Prior to his appointment as the Managing Director, Mr. Gboyega Lesi was the Executive Director, Commercial of the Company.

Olufunmilayo Amanwa

Mrs. Olufunmilayo Amanwa is a seasoned Insurance Practitioner and a multi-talented professional with proven records of producing timely and unparalleled results. She has a legal background with almost 20 years of exceptional work experience especially within the insurance and reinsurance industry. She is a graduate of the renowned Lagos State University, Nigeria where she obtained her LL.B degree and was called to the Nigerian Bar in 2000.
She joined Leadway Assurance Company Limited in 2006 and worked within the Legal and Technical- Underwriting departments before she moved to Cornerstone Insurance Plc where she had oversight of Central Claims & Special Risks Underwriting. She later joined Leadway Assurance Company Limited in February, 2023 as the Divisional Director with oversight of the Technical Division of the Company. She was appointed as the Executive Director, Technical and Operations in January, 2024.
Mrs. Amanwa is a Chartered Insurer with the Chartered Insurance Institute, Nigeria and also London UK, She is a Member of the Nigerian Bar Association as well as a Graduate Member of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators (UK).

Kikelomo Fischer

Mrs. Fischer is an experienced Risk Management Professional with about 14 years of work experience within the financial services industry. She has a strong knowledge of both the African and European Markets with proven expertise in Strategy, Capital Management, Relationship Management and Corporate Governance.
She obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Economics/Finance from University of Surrey, UK and has attended several courses at both local and international business schools including Harvard Business School, Said Business School, University of Oxford, Barcelona Business School and Lagos Business School.
She joined Leadway Assurance Company Limited in 2020 as the Chief Risk Officer after her stint at Ernst & Young where she led the financial services risk management function for West Africa in her capacity as Senior Manager Risk Advisory Services (Africa and UK).
Prior to her appointment as Executive Director, Retail & Partnerships, Kike served as the Divisional Director of Retail & Partnership with oversight of the retail division of the company, demonstrating exceptional leadership in driving the division through innovative strategies and robust execution. She is currently a member of the Chartered Insurance Institute (CII), United Kingdom and the Chartered Insurance Institute of Nigeria (CIIN).

Odalo Aimufia

Mr. Odalo Aimufia is the Chief Information Officer and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Geography and Regional Planning and an MBA (Finance and Accounting) from the Universities of Benin and Liverpool (UK) respectively. Odalo is a strategic IT leader with 16 years’ experience in delivering enterprise solutions and digital transformation initiatives within Banking and Non-Banking Financial Services organizations.
He has a track record of helping businesses achieve their strategic objectives through the effective deployment and use of IT and digital technologies. Prior to joining Leadway Assurance, Odalo was at KPMG in Lagos, Nigeria, where he was a Senior Manager within the Technology Advisory Services function.

Mrs. Kunbi Adeoti holds a bachelor degree in Economics and MBA General Management both from Obafemi Awolowo University. She is a certified professional with the Human Resource Certification Institute (HRCI) and a Senior Certified Professional of the Society For Human Resource Management (SHRM).
Kunbi Adeoti is also a member of other local professional bodies like CIPM and NITAD. Her interests are in general Human Resources, organizational development, learning and effectiveness as well as change management. Prior to joining Leadway Assurance as Head, Human Resources Department (Divisional Director), she was a Principal Partner at Talent Centrix Consultancy. She believes in excellence and has demonstrated same in the course of her HR career spanning the Telecoms and Financial sectors.

Yemisi Rotimi

Mrs Yemisi Rotimi is a qualified accountant with over 25 years’ experience as a senior Finance executive holding senior positions within world class organisations like Royal Mail Plc., Bank of Ireland and Lehman Brothers to name a few. Yemisi began her career in practice working with BDO before eventually moving into industry and Financial Services.
Her responsibilities covered all aspects of Finance from Planning/Budgeting to Regulatory Reporting, Risk, Financial Control, Treasury, Tax and Procurement. Mrs Rotimi holds a Master’s degree from the University of Greenwich, UK and is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN). She is also an Associate of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants, UK (CIMA) and Chartered Global Management Accountants (CGMA). She is currently studying for a Doctorate degree in Business Administration focusing on Risk Management with the London Southbank University

Olumide Hanson is a Chartered Secretary & Chartered Governance Professional. He is a Legal Practitioner and holds a Bachelor of Laws Degree from the University of Lagos, Nigeria, and is a Barrister and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Nigeria. He is also a Member of the Nigerian Bar Association, the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, UK and Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators, UK.
Prior to his joining the company, he spent some years working in the Lagos office of Chief Afe Babalola Chambers and Bayo Osipitan & Co. where he garnered his litigation and commercial law experience.
He has worked meritoriously within the Legal and Company Secretariat department as Senior Legal Analyst and the Acting Company Secretary. He has a penchant for Corporate Governance, Company Secretariat, Legal Drafting, and Speechwriting.
