Recognitions, Awards And Our Quest To Always Insure Your Happiness
The Pension Transitional Directorate (PTAD), in a bid to ensure that insurance companies are up to date with the pension needs of their registered members, recently decided to call out insurance companies that have defaulted in remitting their pension funds. It is alarming to note that a whooping sum of N19.7billion of pension funds is yet to be remitted to pensioners around the country. Could your pension partners also be guilty of this?
In calling out defaulting insurance firms, it is interesting to note that Leadway Assurance was recognized by the Executive Secretary of the directorate, Sharon Ikeazor, as the only insurance company that has successfully transferred funds to the e-collection agency of the Central Bank of Nigeria.
One can totally agree with German politician, Wolfgang Shauble, when he said that, “Reliability is the precondition for trust.” We are humbled to be recognized as a reliable insurance company and this encourages us to do more.
However, it is indeed sad to observe that insurance companies have played a role in the withholding or delay of the pension entitlement of people who have worked tirelessly over the years, for any reasons whatsoever. This is why it is important to always choose reliable insurers in whom you can entrust your savings, life covers and other insurance needs without fear of disappointment.
On another hand, the recently held third edition of the Plateau State Stakeholders Roundtable Engagement on Taxation became another humbling experience for us as a company. It reminded us that our responsibility isn’t restricted to only those who patronize us, but to our country as a whole.
It so happened that, in that event, Leadway Assurance was the only insurance company to be awarded for EXCELLENCE with a special certificate of recognition for consistent, voluntary and diligent compliance with tax obligations in Plateau State. What could be more humbling than a situation where the state governor called out our representatives and asked other stakeholders to emulate Leadway?
